  8.           and original Homer1.x as found on Aminet (or the set of samples I
  9.           have made, see below).
  10. Replaces: util/misc/NewHomer.lha

  12.  NewHomer - this is just like the old Homer1.5/1.6 found on Aminet... it has
  13.             just some more options and is totally RTG friendly (the old one
  14.             wouldn't zoom correctly the animation on truecolor screens).

  16.  In case you didn't ever seen original Homer, this is a program that shows
  17.  you an animation of Homer Simpson, that can talk, burp (ops! :)) and will
  18.  change its mood while following the mouse pointer.

  20.  REQUIREMENTS: you will require to download the original Homer... if you don't
  21.                want to loose too much time, just download the set of samples I
  22.                use... there are some more samples configured than those found
  23.                with the original Homer. The file name is "NewHomer_SAMPLES.lha"
  24.                in this same directory.

  26.                titlebar.image by Massimo Tantignone is NO LONGER REQUIRED
  27.                (thanks to Massimo ;)). Homer will use it if found, though!

  29.                Os V37 at least is required (lower versions won't work... I think
  30.                if anyone wants to test it under V36, please let me know).

  32.                Then you will require ONE sound.datatype and ONE picture.datatype:
  33.                I suggest you to have at least WAVE, 8SVX and ILBM ones, if you
  34.                don't have these, you can't use Homer... or you can convert the
  35.                sound and gfx samples to the datatype you have. ;)
  36.                The file HomerAnim.gif included in the archive is an IFF image
  37.                despite its name... Oh, yes, this is _NOT_ Windoze and that LAME
  38.                filetype recognition system...
  39.  
  40.                NewHomer_DATA.lha - this is ONLY required if you are installing
  41.                Homer for the first time and/or you want some extra/new features/
  42.                samples.

  44.                NewHomerITA_DATA.lha is an italian version of the samples, but
  45.                requires the v41wave datatype, or a wave dt that can play 16bit
  46.                ADPCM wave samples.
  47.  
  48.  INSTALLATION: double click on the provided installer icon, or just copy the
  49.                content of this archive over the old Homer directory. Plus you'll
  50.                need to copy the "titlebar.image" file into the "SYS:CLASSES/IMAGES"
  51.                drawer.
  52.                Then you can edit (if you want) the NewHomer.conf file (see doc.)
  53.                to add your own samples to the program. After doing this you _CAN_
  54.                delete the following files from the old Homer archive:

  57.                homer/libs/ (or LIBS:) - matrix.library and swazconfig.library
  58.                               unless some other program uses them...

  60.                If you don't have Homer installed, or you don't want to loose time
  61.                editing this file, then you can download my own data file (config +
  62.                samples + iff picture) on Aminet and copy its content to the same
  63.                directory.

  67.  BUGS:         Should have much less :), tested under 3.5, MuForce, Wipeout
  68.                (like Mungwall) and these reported no hits.

  72.                - Homer can be made look left or right with left mouse button

  74.                - Image can be scaled to fit non proportional screens, see the
  75.                  docs inside.
  76.                - Playing of 16bit samples with appropriate v41dt added
